The Retirement Journey
Your retirement journey is like climbing a mountain. Success in the retirement mission is not just measured by whether or not you make it to the top of the mountain safely, but making it back down safely!
Descending the mountain is just as important as climbing to the top; going up the mountain is only half of the battle. You spent 30+ years working to climb the retirement mountain. You sacrificed and saved. You put off purchasing things and traveling, so you could better prepare for retirement. Now it’s time to enjoy the benefits of your hard work.
A few years ago, I changed the logo and branding of Parady Financial Group based on a powerful experience I had hiking with my brother Luke, a world class rock climber, to the 14,000 foot summit of Longs Peak in Colorado.
I learned that it took very different physical and cerebral training to get down the mountain than it took to go up – an incredible metaphor for the retirement journey. Luke knew we had to leave the summit quickly to avoid gathering clouds and dangerous storms, while others who stayed too long got caught in them.
When it comes to your financial journey, success isn’t just measured simply by reaching the summit, but understanding the risks and conditioning involved in making your way down. The same strategies that took you to the top are not the same ones that will protect you from potential danger and keep you safe and secure as you descend.
Just as I had my brother, you need a company that has experience helping people that have already reached the top of the mountain. You have spent 30+ years working to climb the mountain. Now it’s time to enjoy the rest of your life.
We’re here to help you do that safely.
